is your blanket of coverage for your motor carrier number and then essentially what that is is if you ever cross state lines for hire and you ever run into any type of legal issues outside of your home state you will automatically be provided a boc 3 legal processing agent that can accept or process any type of legal work on behalf of your motor carrier number you are required to have the UCR and boc 3 attached to the motor carrier number prior to that MC number going active with the motor carrier number there is a 21-day vetting. Prior to that number going active during that 21 days you'll need to get your commercial insurance attached to that motor carrier number and we will have to attach the UCR and boc 3 after that 21-day vetting. / waiting period When it is over they will verify that the UCR boc 3 has been attached as well as your commercial insurance and then we will approve and activate your motor carrier number for you to cross state lines.
However while you're waiting on that 21-day vetting. to be approved,just so you're aware once you get your vehicle inspected you are able to operate inside of your home state with your USDOT# while you're waiting on your motor carrier number MC# to be approved within that 21-day vetting to cross state lines.
